Abracadabra those school holiday blues away with a wave of a wand and a round of applause at the Cape Town College of Magic’s annual Children’s Magic Festival.

The perfect escape for families with restless little ones and curious kids, this fantastical event features performances from the college’s budding Houdinis and experienced graduates as well as legions of professional clowns, mimes, magicians, escapologists, jugglers and more.

The Cape Town College of Magic is a one-of-a-kind specialized teaching organisation that offers internationally recognised diplomas for a wide selection of disciplines – from sneaky sleight of hand to gasp-inducing grand illusions – for children and adults. Founded in 1980 by David Gore, the Hogwarts of the Mother City is housed in a Victorian-era building and is also home to southern Africa’s only magic shop as well as a Magic Information and Research Centre.
